I Love My Life!!!!

NEPAL!!! the land of dreadlock backpackers, hardcore mountain trekkers and yettis!!!! I have never been so excited to get off an airplane in my life although I did have a great conversation with a nonprofit worker from Ghana, Africa along the way.

I was in total sensory overload as I kept darting my head back and forth out the windows trying to take in as much of the city as possible. Even the bushes look more epic here!! We drove past backpacker’s hostels and organic mountain coffee shops as we drove through the narrow cobblestone streets towards our mission’s base.

The next day we took a long and winding bus ride through the foothills of the Himalayas to get to our ministry location in a city called Pokhara. By the way, when I say foothills I mean mountains larger than the Rocky Mountains in America, which goes to show just how huge the Himalayas are around here.

We arrived at a location I am not allowed to disclose do to the political unrest and tensions that still surround Christians here. We arrived to a base camp in the side of a cliff overlooking a huge river. This will be our home for two weeks! Adventure is in the air and Jesus is burning in my heart, can’t wait to see the amazing turn my journey is sure to take!!
